Professor Rahul Bhattacharyya is a Consultant Specialist Knee Surgeon and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) with a national and international reputation in knee surgery. He has extensive training and experience from world leading centres in the UK, USA and Canada which he now offers to his patients in the UK. He is involved in cutting edge research within knee surgery that allows him to apply the latest science and technology to the needs of his patients.

Mr. Bhattacharyya has a keen interest in sports knee surgery. He is dedicated to optimize the care for patients with ACL injuries to ensure bespoke treatment with individualized graft choices and augmentation procedures to provide the best outcomes.

He, along with his colleagues have helped set up a complex meniscal transplant and cartilage repair service in Glasgow and the West of Scotland which was previously not available to patients in this region.

Patient with debilitating knee pain from arthritis (wear and tear) are offered multiple treatment options ranging from non-operative optimization of knee health and healing; injection therapy to knee replacement surgery. Within knee replacement, he offers both partial and total knee replacements as deemed necessary for the patient. He has been on international faculty for partial knee replacements sharing his knowledge and expertise for the benefit of patients globally.
